My mom is a frustrated grandmother. She calls my dog her granddog and the cats her grandcats. She spoils them very badly, often at my expense. She gives them toys and sneaks them treats when I have asked her not to (I still won't tell her how she is sneaking food to the cats)
BUT!!!! she had gone too far. She has given my big cat, Bean a CHICKEN HAT - a hat created for a cat that looks like yamulke with a chicken beak and comb!!!! It does not fit him well. The world is not very accessible to a 25 pound cat..so here he is in all his glory sporting his CHICKEN HAT!!!...

When I was travelling to Asia a lot last year, my mom dog sat. My golden retriever Matty stayed at her condo. When my mom had to go to her photography classes, she actually got a BABY SITTER!!!! Matty would go up to stay with her neighbor upstairs! One day when I was in Shanghai, I get an email FROM MY DOG!!! The email said that he did not want his daily dog biscuit in the mornings any more. He now preferred (God help me) English Muffins and jam. To make matters worse was a photo attached of my dog languishing on my mom's couch!!! My dog is NOT allowed on the furniture, and they both know it!
So, on valentine's day and I got four valentine cards in the mail: one is from my mom, one if from the DOG, the other two were EACH from the cats.
(sigh!) My life is really pathetic.

I don't think your life is pathetic at all! I think it's awesome you have so many pets and so lovely mom. Thanks for the video, it's hilarious ))
