I am a HUGE fan of Barnes and Barnes (Art and Artie Barnes aka: Billy Mumy (Wil Robinson of Lost in Space) and his wonderfully twisted collaborator, Rober Haimer). YAY...Fish Heads was pulled..and not back on youtube. So i have restored my Barnse & Barnes blog section!
This is probably the most "famous" (or perhaps infamous) video by Barnes & Barnes. And I have a ONE degree of separation to this particular video. My Fashion Illustration instructor at Art Center did the MAKE UP on the Fish!!!!!! Yes, she proudly told us all (as she was giving us a make up demonstration on one of our models). She later brought in a rough cut of the video for "Love Tap". I think that she did the makeup too.

The Classic, WONDERFUL and completely WEIRD and charming...Fish Heads
So...like I had said, I saw a cut of this when I was at art school. For some reason, I thought that the female lead in Love Tap was an occasional model at Art Center. I was 90% certain of this...but then I had read somewhere that the female lead was Mark Mothersbaugh's girlfriend at the time (of Devo fame and amazing musician, himself...). I supposed it is possible that Mark Mothersbuagh's girlfriend modelled at our school. But I also think that the fish-make-up-artist-teacher would have bragged about that too, (unless the model was working in our class that day, I suppose).
